Simple explanation
Caribou builds its edited cells using a modified kind of guide — part RNA, part DNA — which the company says makes the editing machinery fussier about where it cuts. CB-010 is an off-the-shelf CAR-T made this way, with an extra edit that removes a brake on the engineered cells so they keep working longer.

CB-010 is an allogeneic anti-CD19 CAR-T candidate from Caribou Biosciences produced using chRDNA (hybrid CRISPR RNA-DNA) guides with Cas12a, incorporating TRAC insertion of the CAR and PDCD1 knockout to improve persistence. In development for B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma and autoimmune indications.
