MAGNITUDE-2 — Phase 3 in vivo CRISPR for ATTR polyneuropathy
Official title: A Phase 3 Study of Nexiguran Ziclumeran in Participants With Hereditary Transthyretin Amyloidosis With Polyneuropathy
PausedPhase IIINCT06672237
Clinical researchBeing tested in people in registered clinical trials. Being in trials is not evidence that a treatment works or is safe.
What this trial is testing
The companion Phase 3 study to MAGNITUDE, in people whose nerves rather than heart are affected by the same disease. It was paused alongside MAGNITUDE after the safety event in that trial.
A Phase 3 study of nexiguran ziclumeran in hereditary ATTR amyloidosis with polyneuropathy. Dosing and screening were paused alongside MAGNITUDE following the hepatic safety event, and the study was placed on clinical hold by the FDA.
What a trial result does and does not mean
Early-phase results come from small numbers of participants and short follow-up. They can change with more people and more time, and a trial that is recruiting, active or even completed has not established that a treatment works. Enrolment criteria are strict; eligibility is decided by the trial site, never by a website.
